Report: Moldovagaz CEO to discuss gas supplies with Gazprom

CHISINAU, Dec 13 (PRIME) -- Moldovan energy company CEO Moldovagaz Vadim Ceban plans to visit Russia in the coming two weeks in order to negotiate gas supplies with Gazprom, he told channel N4 on Tuesday.

"I will go (to Russia) either this week or next. I make all efforts for a full recovery of supplies to Moldova," he said.

Moldova now has an energy crisis due to rising energy prices.

The government intends to reduce gas consumption in winter by at least 15%.

Previously, Moldovagaz said Russian gas supplies fell to 5.7 million cubic meters a day since November 1.
